A versatile and creative musician with over 20 years of experience in composing, performing, and teaching music.
A Fusion Rock artist who combines classical harmony, rock rhythm, and Iranian modal melodies to create original and innovative music. A vocal storyteller who uses classical technique to narrate stories with social, political, and personal themes. A multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, electric guitar, accordion, santur, and tar. A winner of an honorary diploma for creativity and innovation in music at Fajr International Music Festival in 2008.
Employment History: Composer, Singer, Arranger, Poet at Composed and arranged all the pieces for his fusion rock group. and arranged all the pieces for his fusion rock group. Wrote and performed 80% of the lyrics. Performed in underground concerts since 1991. Participated in Fajr International Music Festival three times (2007-2009) as a selected group. Held personal concerts every year since 2007. Recorded several albums but did not obtain a license to publish them. Classical Singer: Started learning classical singing from 1988 in the presence of master Mehdi Shams Niknam. Piano Teacher: Taught piano solfeggio and singing in the presence of the late master Bijan Dadashi from 1980. Started teaching piano independently from 1989. Assisted master Mostafa Kamal Pourtorab in piano teaching method from 1986. Classical Guitar Teacher: Started learning classical guitar from 1981 in the presence of master Farid Raoufi. Taught classical guitar to students of different levels. Electric Guitar Teacher: Started experimenting with electric guitar and leaning towards rock music and composing in this style from 1988. Taught electric guitar to students of different styles. Accordion Teacher: Played and taught accordion to students of different levels. Santur Player: Started learning santur in the presence of master Majid Kiani from 1994.
Tar Player: Started learning tar instrument and studying Mirza Abdullah mode and fusion music in the presence of master Davoud Ganjehi and then in the presence of master Mohammad-Reza Lotfi from 2007. Film Director: Made a short film based on one of his works called (Nowrooz) which was selected at Tehran International Short Film Festival in Experimental Film section in 2007.
